Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect nothing. StayFasted is designed to operate entirely on your device with zero data collection.

• No account required. There is no sign-up, no email collection within the app, and no user profiles stored on our servers.
• No analytics or tracking. We do not use Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, or any third-party analytics SDK.
• No advertising. We do not use ad networks and do not collect data for advertising purposes.
• No crash reporting that identifies you. We may use Apple's built-in crash reporting (which Apple collects anonymously), but we do not add any additional crash or performance monitoring.

2. Data Stored On Your Device

StayFasted stores the following data locally on your iPhone using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults and local files). This data never leaves your device:

• Fasting history (start times, end times, protocols, durations)
• Check-in records (mood, notes, food logged, calories, weight)
• AI coaching conversation context
• Your "Why" profile (fasting goals, health goals, personal mantra)
• Water and hydration entries
• Progress photos
• Scheduled fasts and weekly rhythm settings
• Adherence tracking data
• Supplement logs
• App preferences and settings

3. AI Coaching

StayFasted uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models (available on iOS 26+ with Apple Intelligence) to generate personalized coaching responses. All AI processing happens locally on your device:

• No data is sent to external AI services (no OpenAI, no Anthropic, no Google).
• Your mood, notes, fasting context, and personal information are processed entirely on-device.
• AI responses are generated in real-time on your iPhone's neural engine.
• On devices without Apple Intelligence, the app uses pre-written personalized responses that are also processed locally.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you choose to connect Apple Health, StayFasted may read the following data types:

• Weight and body mass
• Step count
• Sleep analysis
• Resting heart rate

This data is read from HealthKit and displayed within the app. It is never transmitted, stored on external servers, or shared with any third party. You can disconnect Apple Health at any time in Settings.

5. Apple Music

If you choose to connect Apple Music, StayFasted may suggest playlists based on your fasting stage and mood. Music playback is handled by Apple's MusicKit framework. We do not access your listening history or library contents beyond what is needed to make suggestions.

6. Notifications

StayFasted may send local notifications (scheduled fast reminders, check-in prompts, milestone celebrations). These are scheduled entirely on your device using iOS's local notification system. No push notification server is involved. No notification data is transmitted externally.

7. Third-Party Services

StayFasted does not integrate with any third-party data collection services. There are:

• No third-party analytics SDKs
• No advertising SDKs
• No social media SDKs
• No crash reporting SDKs (beyond Apple's built-in system)
• No data brokers or data partners

8. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Delete all data: Use the "Reset All Data" button in Settings.
• Delete the app: Uninstalling StayFasted removes all stored data permanently.
• There is no data on our servers to delete because we never collected any.

9. Children's Privacy

StayFasted is not intended for children under 17. The app does not knowingly collect any information from children. Fasting should only be undertaken by adults, preferably under medical guidance.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices (which would only happen if we added features requiring data collection), we will update this page and note the changes prominently in the app. Our commitment to on-device data storage is a core product principle, not a temporary policy.
